Then build a stack of end pillars on top of the base by laying down 3-4 pieces of wood on top of each other, and then putting another piece on the opposite side, with bigger gaps at each end. Continue to build the pillars until the stack is 12 rows high, making sure that there are enough spaces between each one so that air flows easily throughout the entire pile.
Then, use a center stake to hold the stack straight and start adding perpendicular pieces to the outside of the stack. Tie them together in the middle with string. Indoor stacking requires space with a good airflow and plenty of sunlight. Overcrowding can result in damp and moldy wood. The best place to stack indoors is usually an underground garage or basement.
